Located in the Cedar Hills neighborhood, adjacent to Commonwealth Lake Park, 10-acre Foothills Park is a great place to go for a walk. It also includes a playground and a basketball court.
Visitors can access the paved trail from SW Huntington Avenue on the west side of the park (as a continuation of the Commonwealth Lake Park trail). On the east end, the park is accessible from SW Alcott Avenue.
The majority of Foothills Park is forested natural area, with oak, alder, and Douglas Fir trees. In 2011, restoration work completed by THPRD removed invasive species such as Himalayan blackberry and English Ivy to plant native trees and shrubs to attract native wildlife.
